We all know that sports cars are fast, but there are a few cars out there that fly under the radar a bit when it comes to their quickness. Check out these cars that put up some pretty impressive zero to 60 times.

The Acura TL SH-AWD is powered by a 305 hp 3.7-liter SOHC V6 engine. The TL SH-AWD can really get up and go, clocking a zero to 60 time of 5.6 seconds. That’s some serious speed for a six-cylinder luxury sedan.
2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS

At the heart of the Trailblazer SS lies a 6.0-liter pushrod LS2 engine. For those who don’t remember, the LS2 was the same engine found in the Corvette at the time. While the top speed clocks in around 130 mph, it won’t take you long to get there. The zero to 60 time for this SUV is a blistering 5.4 seconds!
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Weighing in at nearly a quarter-ton, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 better pack a big engine — and it does. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 cranks out 470 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. The deceivingly fast SRT8 can hit 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, which beats the majority of its competition.
2009 Pontiac G8 GXP

The GXP has a Corvette-derived 415 hp 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine. The LS3 is designed to use “Active Fuel Management,” but this baby still guzzles down gas like no other, averaging close to 18 mpg. What the GXP lacks in fuel economy, it makes up for in speed — zooming from zero to 60 in just 4.9 seconds.
2010 Nissan Maxima SV

via youtube.com
The Nissan Maxima SV is a sporty four-door, but not quite a true sports car. The 290 hp V6 engine helps put some pep in its step, but does cause a fair amount of torque steer from hard acceleration. If you are just worried about getting off the blocks, the Maxima SV can reach 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
2008 Audi RS4

The 4.2-liter V8 engine found in the RS4 is also the same one found inside Audi’s R8 sports car. Producing 420 hp at 7,800 rpm, the engine is powerful enough to leave a few tire marks on the street. The RS4 shoots from zero to 60 in a scant 4.4 seconds, which is just long enough for you to “Holy cow, this thing is FAST!”
2009 Cadillac CTS-V

The CTS-V is another sleek looking sedan that packs a powerful beast under the hood. The 556 hp supercharged V8 engine featured in the ’09 CTS-V is the same one found in the ZR1 Corvette of the same year. As for speed, this Caddy bolts from zero to 60 in an amazing 3.9 seconds.
2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

via youtube.com
Sprinting from zero to 60 in 4.3 seconds, the 300 SRT8 can run with the big dogs on the track. The 300 SRT8 packs a large 6.4-liter Hemi with 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. You wouldn’t realize this power from its looks, but this Chrysler is one quick mother.
2010 Ford Taurus SHO

You wouldn’t expect a Ford Taurus to be beating anyone off the blocks anytime soon, but the 2010 Taurus SHO did just that. The powerful 365 hp twin-turbo V6 Ecoboost engine rockets from zero to 60 in just 5.2 seconds. While the Taurus SHO can move pretty quick, you won’t doing any burnouts when you slam the pedal down.
2011 Infiniti M56S

The Infiniti M56 features a beast of an engine under the hood. The 5.6-liter direct-injected V8 powers this luxury sedan from zero to 60 in 4.6 seconds. Not only do you get the quickness of a sports car, you also get the upgraded features of a luxury car — something that is rarely found in the M56’s price range.
2008 Chevy Cobalt SS

The Chevy Cobalt SS might not seem like much, but trust us, this car shouldn’t be overlooked. The 2.0-liter Ecotec turbo four engine pushes out 260 hp — nothing too crazy, right? Just wait until you floor the SS after that red light. Clocking at 60 time of 5.7 seconds, the Cobalt SS will give you quite the bang for your buck.
2007 Mazdaspeed6

The six-speed Mazdaspeed6 sports a 2.3-liter DOHC 16 valve engine with a direct injection turbo system. This little speedster is capable of hitting 60 mph in a respectable 5.3 seconds. When your motto is “Zoom Zoom,” you better make sure all your cars can zoom out the gates.
2012 Volkswagen Golf R

When you think of a Volkswagen Golf, you probably don’t imagine a speedy car — but that’s just what it is. The Golf R bolts from zero to 60 in just 5.5 seconds, thanks to the turbocharged direct-injected inline-four under the hood. The Golf R is built around the driving experience, and you'll definitely get your money's worth out of it.
2012 Lincoln MKS

The Lincoln MKS is one of the top luxury cars in the game, especially after the upgrades following the 2010 model. The standard MKS features a 3.7-liter V6 engine that pushes out 273 hp. With a 60 time of 5.3 seconds, Lincoln proved they could seamlessly mix speed with luxury.
