This ain’t your average Peugeot! This stunning supercar concept is the Onyx and it’s jam-packed full of innovative material. The doors and front fenders are made out of hand-shaped copper that acquire patina over time, while the rest of the panels are made of carbon fiber. If you thought that was wild enough, wait until you see the inside. The seats are covered in wool felt, and the dashboard is made completely out of recycled newspaper. The newspaper is compressed in to the required shapes needed, and you are able to still see some of the words if you look close enough. The car even comes with a special fragrance that is diffused throughout the cabin. Now that’s fancy!
Let’s get down to business though. The mid-mounted 3.7-liter diesel V-8 engine pumps out 600 hp. Lithium-ion batteries store braking energy that help boost the electric motor an extra 80 hp. Weighing in at just 2,400 pounds, this supercar is as light as it is beautiful. This spectacular car is still just a concept, but let’s hope they get the ball rolling on production, like NOW!
