10. Pagani Huayra

At a cost of around $1.3 million, this car doesn’t come cheap. The cars most noticeable exterior feature is its antenna-like mirrors, reminding comic-book fans of “The Tick.” Taking a spin in this car will get your heart pumping like crazy, but is still the slowest on our list. Top Speed: 230 mph.
9. Zenvo ST1

Built by the Danish Zenvo Automotive, you will have to drop $1.8 million for this stylish ride. Only 15 of these cars were produced, mostly for export. The ST1 has a sleek exterior that makes car lovers ooh and ahh. Just a notch above the Huayra on our list. Top Speed: 233 mph.
8. McLaren F1

Once the world’s fastest car, the F1 has fallen from its place of honor on the list since 1998 when it achieved the top spot. 106 F1’s were constructed throughout its production in the 90s and they are no longer produced. Top Speed: 240 mph.
7. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

Both fast and functional, the S7 Twin-Turbo comes with some interesting features including both a front and rear trunk, near-center positioned driver’s seat, and custom-fit luggage–for when you need to get somewhere in a hurry and your regular luggage just won’t do. Top Speed: 248 mph.

The Koenigsegg CCR went through many alterations to be fit for the US market, with the new US-ready version named CCX to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its first CC vehicle. It has a low, sleek style that certainly aids in its aerodynamics. Top Speed: 250 mph
5. 9ff GT9-R (Tie)

This hot German car is based partially on the Porsche 911, though modified in many ways, offering drivers more power and higher top speeds. It is tied for 5th place with the SSC Ultimate Aero. Top Speed: 257 mph.

This North American creation once held the title as the world’s fastest car, but now shares 5th place with the GT9-R. The car was purposely designed without certain electronic assistance devices such as ABS brakes and traction control so that the driver would have more personal control over the vehicle. 3. Koenigsegg Agera R

From the Swedish word for “to take action,” the Agera succeeded the CCR/CCX models of the same company. It has broken many land speed records for acceleration but still falls short of the title for top speed. Top Speed: 260 mph.
2. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Bugatti held the coveted top spot until quite recently. Early in 2014, the Hennessey Venom GT passed it up to take the place of honor. However, this car is still impressive in many respects and its speed is still far faster than any other car on this list. It will cost you a jaw dropping $2.4 million if you choose to buy one however. Top Speed: 267.8 mph.
