
Forget flux capacitors and plutonium, because on the famed Oct. 21st Back To The Future Day in 2015, Toyota has “invented” a nifty new vehicle powered by garbage, just as Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) used in the Delorean time machine by the end of the first film.
Although Toyota did not dub their new technology with the ever-so-catchy name “Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor,” the new garbage-hydrogen-fueled Mirai did seem to at least mildly impress the famous duo, who were shown discussing the shocking number things Back To The Future got right about 2015 before taking a spin with Toyota engineer and “huge” Back To The Future fan, Mischa Pollack.
