The stars of the Discovery Channel reality TV show, the “Diesel Brothers” are getting hit with a hefty fine from the state of Utah. U.S. District Judge Robert Shelby ordered David “Heavy D” Sparks and Joshua “Redbeard” Stuart to pay $928,602 in fines to Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment.

That’s not including additional legal fees to the tune of $848,000!

The show is centered around Heavy D and Diesel Dave who pick up trucks headed to the scrapyard and trick them out with performance engines and other mods. The crew is also known for the crazy stunts, pranks, and humor on the show.

The Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment started the legal battle against the show after watching the smoke-spewing trucks on the Discovery Channel. The group sued under the basis of the Clean Air Act, which allows people to seek damages against those who cause unjust pollution to the environment.

District Judge Shelby ruled that the group has violated over 400 Clean Air Act rules, including uninstalling and selling devices to foil emission controls. The judge has decreased the Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment original demand of $1.4 million by $532,000.

Despite the lessened fees, the “Diesel Brothers” attorney called the fines “egregious and frivolous.”
