15 Car Accessories That Make Us Shake Our Heads

Car accessories can really help to make the driving experience easier and more enjoyable. Sometimes though, accessories come about that just make us shake our heads in confusion.

Car Lashes

These just seem silly, but I guess to each his own.

Bumper Dumper

This one may just be awesome. The bumper dumper would be great for camping trips; or potentially a high thrill experiment if the car is in motion…

Automatic Seat Belts

Thankfully, very few cars on the road still have these because they were annoying. Most people just wound up disconnecting them, so rather than being a convenience they became a hazard.

Window Cup Holders

They are almost always made of cheap plastic that will eventually break, spilling your drink everywhere. That, and if you forget a drink is there and slam the door, it will almost certainly spill.

Facial hair for cars is not really ever going to be “in” so you might as well stop trying.

Stick-On Vents

Quit trying to make your car look like something it’s not; your Cavalier will never be a hot rod.

Food Tray

There are these things called tables that allow you to consume your food before getting in your car. If you must eat on the road, a tray will probably fail to keep your food in place as you bounce around the road so why waste the money on a tray?

Seat Belt Covers

These aren’t as terrible as other items in the list, but do you really need this extra cloth? They just seem to get in the way and rub just as much as the original belt.

Espresso Lane

Do you really need to be making espresso while you drive? This just seems like an expensive gadget that is unneeded when there is a Starbucks on every corner.

French Fry Holder

If you eat at McDonald’s so often that you need to purchase a specific contraption to hold your fries for you, then you might just have a problem.

“Piss On” Stickers

These are just tacky, especially when you realize that the boy “pissing” is none other than Calvin from “Calvin and Hobbes.” Not a great example for kids.

Car Bras

These are marketed as a way to protect the front end of your car from small dings during driving, but they can cause plenty of paint and scratch issues themselves that you won’t notice until you take it off. That and they just look lame.

Cajones

You don’t have to add testicles to your truck to let people know that you are a db, I mean man.

Back Seat Air Mattress

Not sure why getting a hotel wouldn’t be just as easy, but this contraption seems to work if you want a little extra room to spread your legs in the car.

Caffeine Power

More of a sad car mod choice than an accessory, but it earns honorable mention for its sheer ridiculousness.
