Cars can be a lot of fun to play in, when you know what you are doing. These cars are all designed in such a way that they are great in a drift, or can be modified into a great drifting vehicle.
Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T
It is Japanese grand toured and was produced from 1969-1973. It has won a number of races like the Japanese motorsport and the Australian touring car Championships. It was designed to ensure that it can stay in the rear end without losing control.
Nissan 350Z/Infiniti G35
It is affordable and can be easily tuned to fit the needed specifications. Its chassis has good balance enhancing its drifting capability. It is however somehow heavy and needs a good drifter to slide well.
Nissan 200 SX
The latest model is the best in drifting and even its predecessor models such as the early S13 models can drift well too. The models down the generations are strong, easy to learn, and have an array of tuning parts. The latest model, S15 is more costly and can go sideways in a controlled manner.
In addition to the latest model having increased torque, it has also been lightened. It is still heavy, but its turbo system enhances its drifting abilities.
Hard to drift, but for one who has mastered the skills of drifting, it is an easy task. The car has great balance since its light rotary engine is located behind the front axle. The RX-7 is the preferred model, but any of its predecessors are good as well.
It is manufactured by the Ford Motor Company and was first introduced in April, 1964. A number of transformations have occurred over the years, bringing us to the current sixth generation. It can easily maneuver sideways in a controlled fashion.
Toyota Soarer is a heavy car which poses a challenge since one has to balance momentum. The brakes have to be used to get the weight at the front before rocking the car so that it slides. Toyota Soarers can be remodeled to enhance their drifting capabilities though it is expensive. It's important to note that it is very comfortable, economical on fuel, as well as quick.
Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky
These similar vehicles are both products of General Motors. Pontiac Solstice is good in a drift because of its ability to maximize steering angle. The car was specifically modified for that drifting feature.
It has plenty of torque, a long wheelbase, and it is quite affordable. To enhance its drifting capabilities, some modifications were done. Rubber suspensions were replaced with urethane material. In addition, the measurement of the car was reduced by 1.5 inches.
The Dodge Viper is faster than its predecessors. This could be due to the fact that it has a wider rear wheel footprint that promotes its speed. It is however 100 pounds lighter than the previous model. Its lightness enables it to drift quite well.
